GUTTER GIRLS
This might sound high school-ish having a group of friends and you give a name for it. In fact, “gutter” became a trending for us since we usually hang out on gutters. Sounds poor, eh? We love the gutters on Cubao X rather than getting a decent seat at (the late) Mogwai or Today X Future. The gutter beside 711 Pasong Tamo became our haven as well after watching a gig at BSIDE (at The Collective) because beers at 711 are way affordable!
After the wake of Mogwai Cinematique where the beer was cheap and the ambience really suited our leisure, we suddenly got interested in putting up our own bar and we’ll call it GUTTER bar. Yet it is still a dream for most of us but it doesn’t matter. We don’t know maybe someday, we can seriously put up one. Maybe when Ara goes to Amsterdam and I-don’t-know-what-the-heck will she be doing there. HAHA. Or perhaps when Monsterella became popular which is impossible for now. How about if Regiene Paula will be dating the hottest and richest guy in the town? Kfine. We are being pathetic now or it’s just me? :D
In that dream bar, we’ll play all the music we love. SPIN to death it is. Monsterella plushies will be on a forever exhibit, too. BEERS will be cheaper than ever. Jordan will also do the interior design, and he will be the Chef, and the waiter, and the janitor, and all (peace, man!<3). For short, the all around manager. All the musician friends can play anytime they like. Ahh! Ang sarap mangarap! These are the longings of the ordinary people like us who want nothing but to break free from the ever stressful work, life, and other aspects of living in this urban jungle. All we want is home. A home that will always welcome the restless souls.
P.S.
Let’s make this happen soon!
